This place does not advertise itself as a New York bagel shop, and rightfully so because these bagels are nothing like what a traditional NY/NJ bagel shop would do. They still get 5 stars for being clean, friendly and serving a fresh, quality product.
Bagels are fresh and tasty, but certainly some things a NY'er isn't used to:
- bagels are flatter than what a traditional bagel should be;
- everything bagel had sunflower seeds and anise, but no onion or garlic;
- flavored bagels only have seasoning on the bottom layer, not the top;
- they lack some of the most-traditional types of bagels: salt, whole wheat everything, egg;
- ordering process is slow - ordering three bagels should not require the taking notes, making payment first then waiting for them to put it in a bag. I can only imagine how long it would take to order a dozen.
Overall, great if you like quick bagels or want a sandwich. -

The best Bagels in McKinney. They make them the traditional way...boiling then then baking...to give them that thick chewie crust...mmm.
Andy and his family are great and recognize me every time I go in...maybe I'm there too much. Highly recommend. -

Total New Yorker here, writing this review.
If you are a new yorker, then you know how important it is to have a good bagel with cream cheese and lox. To date, I haven't found a comparable bagel.. until now.
My bagel didn't exactly have the tough shell that I'm used to but it had the flavor and the inside chew factor.
I was there for lunch, happen to be nearby, and grabbed a honey wheat (trying to be healthy here!) with cream cheese, lox, and yes with the capers.
It being lunch, they were out of a few of the flavors of bagel, so my advice is to go early, which I plan on doing next time I'm in that area.
If i wasn't seeing patients, I would have totally gotten the everything bagel OR their version of a NYC bagel.. which is an everything bagel + onion + garlic. IMO, that might be overkill! It would definitely keep the mosquitos away.
The only thing that would have made this perfect lunch was a little 1/4 pound container of either macaroni salad or potato salad (that's how they serve it in NY) but I really can't ask for too much! -

Friendly service. Excellent bagels and cream cheese. Came into town for a work trip and I'm glad I found this place! Yum!

We came here on Saturday morning around 9.30am, there were some patrons but not crowded. We had half a dozen bagels to-go. We had cinnamon raisin, chocolate chips, everything, nyc, cranberries and blueberries bagel. My son couldn't wait to have them in car, so we had cinnamon raisin and chocolate chip bagel. The cinnamon raisin was very tasty, I love the balance between the cinnamon and raisin. The chocolate chip bagel was fresh out from the oven, it was warm- nothing can beat a warm bagel, however the amount of chocolate chips is very very little that the couldn't even taste the chocolate favor at all, That made me a little sad! I would give it a 4 1/2 stars but there's no such option. We haven't tried the rest of the bagels yet, I will update my review once I try them all. Clean environment and friendly staffs. We love local business, come and give them a try :)
